Methylene Blue Dye Reduction Test, ordinarily referred to as MBRT test is utilized as a speedy strategy to evaluate the microbiological nature of crude and sanitized milk. Its world first MBRT Scan machine. The test is based on the reduction of methylene blue dye by the metabolic activity of bacteria present in milk. The dye is blue in its oxidized form and colourless when reduced.
A small amount of methylene blue dye is added to a milk sample under controlled conditions. The sample is then incubated at a specific temperature (usually around 37°C) for a set period (typically 2 hours)
